Positive pic of the week #13
This weeks positive pic is of my new garden swing.
Since I was a little girl I have always wanted a garden swing, now I have one I feel like a proper grown up! It took me about 2 hours between yesterday and this morning to assemble the thing and within 5 minutes my daughter had taken over and decided to have a nap in the sun.
We have been on the school holidays for a week now and I haven't been able to enjoy the garden as I didn't have anywhere to sit. Now I plan to spend a lot of time sitting out there reading my books and tanning my legs.
Do you have a pic of something that has made you happy this week? come and link up below and share a bit of positivity.

Positive pic of the week #10
This weeks positive pic is of my 15 year old Jasmin and 9 year old Kieron.
Last weekend we went to watch 2 of my friends run the Race for life at Clapham common. It was a lovely day, luckily not too hot for the runners but warm enough for us standing around waiting to cheer.
I took lots of photos of my friends warming up and running through the finish line but while we were waiting Jasmin was asking me to take her picture. What I love about this shot is that it shows her poser side but it also shows Kieron's cheeky side, he doesn't usually like having his picture taken but whenever I was taking one of Jasmin he was trying to creep in behind without her noticing...typical annoying little brother!
Have you got a picture that puts a smile on your face?

Positive pic of the week #9
This weeks positive pic is Juice.
As I have mentioned before I decided to do a two day detox to try and get myself under 10 stone and I am pleased to say that with a little help from this juice I managed to do it! Hopefully the hot dogs that I just ate don't push me back over again :/
I made the juice myself in a juicer and will put a post up in the next couple of days with the ingredients. Also the little milk bottles I purchased for my daughters birthday are a perfect size for a shot of juice. If you are trying to kick start a health routine or want to drop a few pounds I find juicing is a great way to start and if you get the right fruit and veg mix that don't taste too bad either!
If you have a pic of something positive that's happened in your week then please join in and post on the linky below...

Positive pic of the week #8
This weeks Positive pic is shoes.
I got these shoes this week as a present from the Mr for my birthday. I don't normally like pointed toe shoes, I think they just make my feet look bigger! These however I think look lovely. This is surprising considering that myself and the man have completely different tastes and never agree when it comes to style!
I love the colour and the fact that there are straps around the ankle as me and high heels are not really the best of friends, so having some support to walk in them is a must! I have quite a few parties coming up, including a 40th, 50th and 60th so I am glad I have some new shoes to wear.
What has made you happy this week? Come and add your positive pic at the bottom of the page.

Positive pic of the week #6
This weeks positive pic is of one of my little Kitty's.
My cat has had kittens before and whenever she does we always become attached to them. This time there is a litter of six and they are just about ready for their new homes so we have been enjoying our last week with them. To be honest, although they are the cutest little things ever, they tend to take over the house, running up and down the stairs at all hours of the night and following me around everywhere so I do find it peaceful when they have gone. I suppose it's the fact that there are so many that make them quite overwhelming but when they are on their own or all huddled up together asleep, they are so sweet!
What has put a smile on your face this week?

Positive pic of the week #5
This weeks positive pic is of Kieron enjoying the zip wire at a local park.
Although the weather hasn't been fantastic it has been bright and sunny and it's nice to be able to get outside and take in some fresh air. The kids are still at an age where they can have fun at the park, I like the fact that they are free and the kids are old enough to roam around on there own without me following behind so I can find a bench to sit on a read a book.
What simple pleasures have you had this week? If you have a photo feel free to add to the link below!

Positive pic of the week #4
My positive pic this week is of my cupcake cross stitch.
I love doing cross stitch and have so many patterns that I want to make but I'm a bit worried to start as this particular one has taken me around three years to complete! I know it's not exactly massive but once I put them away they seem to stay in the draw forever until I get that urge to start again and with everything else going on in life I need to find the time to do it.
These gorgeous cupcakes are going to go into a frame and up on my kitchen wall.
If you have a picture that you would like to add to #pospicofweek please do so at the bottom of the post.

Positive pic of the week #3
My positive pic this week is of my back doors.
For a start they are nice, new, double glazed doors and I finally have rid of the old, wooden, stiff ones!
The view isn't too great at the moment but when we have the scaffolding removed and the rose bush starts blooming I think it will be a lovely view to have breakfast to in the mornings, especially with the Spring sun shining through.
(please excuse the orange flowers in the pink vase but its the only one I had available)

Positive Pic of the Week #1
My Positive pic of the week is of the the kit I received from St John Ambulance after doing a first aid course with them earlier this week.
I'm sure its obvious that the reason I think its positive is because I was trained to help save lives but I also learnt so much more than that. From childhood illnesses, burns, fractures, cuts and crushing, right through to recovery positioning and CPR.
I think what actually stuck with me the most was when the trainer said that it takes 3 years to train as a paediatric nurse and we had only 2 days to learn the basics so we shouldn't feel pressured to get everything right all of the time. After all, doing our best with what we know to help aid in an accident or emergency is always better than turning a blind eye and walking by.
I personally think first aid courses should be available to all new parents! I'm sure it would have saved me a lot of worry and hospital visits over the years if I had had the knowledge I have now to deal with certain situations my children have found themselves in.

Positive pic of the week
As of next Saturday (22 march) I'm going to be hosting a new Linky on my blog by the name of Positive pic of the week.
I love photography and ever the optimist I like to think of all the positives things that are happening in life rather than focus on the negative, so that has led me to the idea of posting a picture that represents something positive that has happened in my week.
I was going to do this myself but thought it would be nice to spread a bit of positivity and open up the idea for all you lovely 'glass half full' bloggers to join in.
So if you are wondering what kind of photos can be posted, here are a few ideas:
Something that has put a smile on your face
A special person
A place you have visited
Something you have made...
And I'm sure there are loads of other things you can think of!
The only rules are that you do not use anyone else's photos or upload random pics from the Internet. The photo needs to have been taken in the week running up to when it is posted and you do not post any quotes (I love a quote as much as the next person but I think there are already enough of them around)
You can write as little or as much as you like to explain your picture or you can leave it all to the imagination, its totally up to you!
To join in grab the badge below and link up to the weekly post on my blog. The linky will be open from Saturday morning until Sunday evening so you have the whole weekend to share your positivity...
